Horrible experience.

This place will break your stuff and then blame you for it. They are a rude, unethical business full of sketchy individuals who skirt their contractual obligations to refunds, because they are, and I quote "an LLC", therefore good luck!! If you have to go with these crooks then watch them closely and open up every single box before you sign anything to make sure they didn't break your stuff.

Nice.

American Relocation was great!! They were very attentive and worked really hard to help with my move from my one bedroom appt. to storage. They called ahead of time and let me know exactly what time they were coming and they thoroughly explained everything before they started working .They even wrapped my ottoman for free..I was very impressed with their service. When I need help with another move I will definitely be calling them. They're prices are the absolute best!! I called all around and couldn't find a place who offered better prices!!

THIS COMPANY STOLE FROM US

Not only did they destroy a bunch of our things, THIS COMPANY STOLE FROM US. So far, we’ve found that that we’re missing almost $1k in tools alone. To try to protect our belongings we packed most of our things in heavy duty plastic bins. Our stuff was handled so poorly, most of these bins were destroyed by the time we received them. As they were unpacking all of our stuff from the truck, they are stacking crushed boxes so high on the dolly, my stuff was bing dropped and broken as they are bringing it into the house. I can’t even imagine how they treated things when the customer isn’t watching. Lots of hidden fees, actual move was close to 3 times the estimate, won’t return calls or make it right. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I’ll add photos if possible. Feel free to message me and I’d be happy to provide additional details.

Long-distance move from West Virginia to Maryland

Excellent moving company, we're first time movers.

My fiance and I had to make a trip from West Virginia to Baltimore, MD- and Green Line relocation was by far the best option.

6 hours of driving time was daunting for us to move all our stuff, so for the first time ever we decided to use movers. Greenline offered us an hourly rate, provided insurance should we want it, offered us free additions to our service, and had packing experts (Ziko and team) come and help us pack. Although there was a small miscommunication as to the size of the truck, they got all our stuff packed and moved into our new location without any damage whatsoever. These guys are pros.

If you're on a timeline and need reliable service, these are the people to use. We'll be using them again no question.

Thank you Crystal and team.

Best Moving experience ever!

My experience with this company was outstanding. They were extremely professional and polite. They did charge extra for packing materials but gave me the option to go get my own. All of my things were moved without anything being damaged or broken. I did pay a little more than originally quoted but the job they did was well worth what I paid. I will definitely use this company again if I move and I recommend anyone in need of a moving company to use them. I definitely feel you will be satisfied.

Wonderful.

I've never used movers before and was a bit nervous. But Josh and Ilham were incredible. They arrived promptly, loaded my furniture quickly and carefully, followed me to my new apartment and unloaded everything without any problems. They managed to work some kind of mover magic to bring my couch and mattress in through tricky angles without any problems at all and were incredibly friendly and courteous the entire time. Great guys, great service, great price. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

Green Line Was Wise Choice for Us.

We received a quote from another very popular moving company in Maryland, but it was so high that we searched for another company to compare prices. Green Line quoted a price that was less than half the "Big Company" quote.
Office staff was courteous (a usual complaint is that they can be a problem), and the two movers showed up on time, greeted me with a smile, and were clearly professional and experienced. The move was a short distance within Howard County Maryland, and while the move took a bit longer than estimated, it was still half the price of the "other guys". We were very pleased. No extra charges, no nonsense, and if a move can be considered a pleasant experience, this one met that test. Recommended.

Moving in a short time w/not that much furniture.

I had very little to move but ALL other competitors wanted $ for a huge move. I used this company without any other reference than the reviews and was extremely satisfied. They were prompt, courteous, efficient and very careful with my items. They delivered what they promised. I would use them in the future and recommend them to friends and family.

Best Moving Company in DMV.

Hiring this company for our last minute move was a great decision. We had very little time to move and needed a company that could get the job done, was reliable, and easy to work with. They were all that and more! They carefully packed all of our things, mindful of anything that might need special attention. They were super punctual, super quick, and courteous.

We got all of our furniture out and into our new place stress and worry free. We would highly recommend their services to anyone in the DMV area. No hidden fees, everything was seemless, and we would definitely use them again!

PLEASE do not use this company!

PLEASE do not use this company!

After they emailed me an estimate, I called to book the move and they had no record of the estimate, so they asked me to send it to them. That was the first red flag. They called at 8:30 on the day of the move to say they would be there by 9:30, but they showed up at 10:30. Heads up: they provide as may blankets as necessary to cover your furniture free of charge, but they charge you $3.50 for each roll of tape needed to secure the blankets (they use dozens of rolls of tape). Any type of glass gets charged extra (that was not explained earlier either). The three movers who came complained multiple times about how much "stuff" I have, even though I gave an accurate inventory.

My biggest complaint was that they basically didn't care about my things. I had multiple glasses and pieces of china broken, even though they were packed in bubble wrap and special dish packs. I did not purchase additional insurance, but they are now saying I probably won't be reimbursed the measly $.60/per pound on the things that were broken, because I packed them. I didn't even mention the large piece of glass that was broken when the mover leaned on it with his knee as he was trying to wrap it, or the large piece of plexiglass that was cracked in multiple places as well. My wooden furniture was shoved across the rough surface of the truck liftgate which damaged the bottom and feet of almost everything.

I had to pay extra because they took longer than expected. It didn't help that one of the movers was sick and also spoke no English, so "living room" and "bedroom" meant nothing when I was trying to tell them where things went. I unwrapped most of the covered furniture myself just to save time and money. I also cleaned up their mess as they left tape rolls and used tape everywhere.

Basically, they didn't care and I paid for it. I'll go back to a great company that charges a bit more, but does a fantastic job and doesn't break anything: Perry Moving and Storage.

Long-distance move from Maryland to Washington DC

These guys are thieves. Don't hire them to do your move.

These guys are thieves. Don't hire them to do your move. First of all they hire illegal immigrants to do your move who come to your home and along the move steal a lot of your goods like your jewelry and precious things. And then not only they do theft of precious goods, but also steal whatever they can. Yesterday Crystal and Sheila from this company sent me 2 guys from Moldova (Andrew) and Ukraine (Oleg) who apparently did live illegally in Baltimore MD. They came to my home and Andrew started to establish a personal relationship with me and ask me if I needed a boyfriend. Later on I came to know that he was illegal and was looking for a citizen or a green card holder to marry in order to maintain his status. Then while doing the move, not only Andrew did not do a perfect job but also scratched most of my furniture stating he was tired, he couldn't wrap my stuff because I had to pay extra etc etc. He was a lazy man not good for the job. While moving he broke a lot of glasses, decoration pieces and wall frames which I found later in packed boxes. When I tasked the company for help and insurance nobody responded. My furniture move was not under insurance. In the past I had done the same size (1 bedroom) move with complete insurance and a lower price. The move remained incomplete anyway, because Andrew and Oleg were too tired to do the complete move that day. They promised to finish it the next day. After finishing the move that day, Andrew charged me twice of the billing cost and wanted me to pay for it! What could cost me $500 or $600 max. with greenline relocation costed me $850 without insurance, a lot of broken precious decoration/wall pieces and stolen jewelry. Not to mention, Andrew never completed the move the next day, and asked me why he should do all of that for me if I didn't hook up with him.. guess I needed to sleep around with an stinking illegal Moldovan Muslim man and a truck driver just to have an imperfect moving job done! And when I complained to the company about this, I received no answer! They got the money and the business was finished. No good after service customer service, neither a remedy nor a solution! Never use these guys for your moving job. They are bunch of stupid illegal thieves who steal all you have and leave you in the middle of nowhere. And all of that thing they say on the contract is bunch of [EDIT]. Don't trust they. You should never trust businesses run by illegal immigrants. Good luck everyone not choosing the wring moving company. Hope I have helped you not choose them.

Long-distance move from Baltimore, MD to Charles Town, WV

Horrible company! Poor service, poor customer service and LIES!!

What I emailed the company with no response back: This was my first time doing a move of a whole house. We lived in a 900 SF row home. We had previously taken our own trips to our new home to move personal items and items we didn't want broken accidentally. The movers showed up 15 minutes early on Saturday morning which was fine but the one guy, who's name I didn't catch but told me he was the foreman, wanted to keep discussing the quote with me and how it was wrong and would take a lot longer than 3 hours to pack the truck up. He was very rude and disrespectful. He continued to stop and take breaks and told me if he goes over the 3 hours i'd have to pay $110 each additional hour he was there. He said it would probably take him 5 additional hours. Some of the things that were on the quote he didn't even take. Such as the sofas because we decided to buy new and leave our old one at the old house to give away. Our new sofa we bought and delivered to the new house ourselves. They didn't take the desk. I was asked to take the TV down off of the wall. He just kept repeating how this was more than a 3 hour job. We really didn't have that much for them to take. Half the stuff we had driven to the new house prior to the move or gave away a lot. I don't know what a 3 bedroom is in your companies eyes but apparently its a lot different than what I think it is. When we arrived at the new house all I did was sign the papers. I didn't write in a tip. Your "foreman" had the nerve to ask me where the tip was an that people typically tend to give 20%. That to me was VERY rude. Still after the move date my husband and I had to go get car loads of things that the movers left behind. I wish I had taken pictures of how they packed the truck. They left a TON of extra space. As I was signing the final document the "foreman" continued to look over my shoulder as I wrote. I did the survey but was not truthful on it due to the fact of the attitude of the man. I didn't want anything to happen to my house or belongings. I feel as though I need some sort of compensation in this situation considering I basically did the move on my own. It was a waste of the $800. I could have gotten a U-Haul and got the whole house moved in the 3 hours he said he couldn't do it in. Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy!

Long-distance move from Alexandria, VA to Sarasota, FL

Green Line has ignored our claim.

We have had a terrible experience with Green Line Relocation and Systems. Although they had a good crew on our pick up in Alexandria, VA. they insisted on packing in one eleven hour day when two days were needed. As a result, supervision waned and the crew was very tired and the care given to our household goods suffered greatly. On delivery in Sarasota, FL two weeks later, Green Line provided only three workers. One was the driver/manager of the delivery, one was an employee on his first day of work and the last was a day laborer found that morning on Craig's List. The driver supervised from inside the truck while the other two inexperienced workers damaged and dirtied our belongings; some of which we observed directly and immediately reported to the driver. In addition, some items were missing and when my husband looked on the truck, he found a smashed piece of porcelain art that they had not unloaded. The driver made notes on damages and dirtied items and said that we could file a claim for those he reported as well as those we found in unpacking. We submitted a claim in June 2020 with photos of the damage and the original Green Line inventory, written by the Green Line employees in Virginia which indicated no damage at pick-up and noting the damage on delivery. They stonewalled and slow-walked our claim (i.e., someone misplaced it, someone else was handling it but quit) and after three months, stated their insurance company denied the entire claim stating that everything was damaged at pick-up. We noted to them their pick-up inventory doesn’t note the damage and that we witnessed much of the damage being inflicted and asked for proof of same as we retained our original inventory. We were then told that they would refer the claim to the owner who would speak to the employees involved. After waiting a few weeks without a response, we were told to contact the owner of the company. We called numerous times and the owner is not available. When we asked to leave a message for the owner today, we were told that the owner doesn’t handle claims and will not talk to us. I said I was going to file a legal claim and Green Line the employee responded, “Go ahead and do that.” So, that is what I will do as soon as I get done writing this most negative review of Green Line Relocation and Systems of Baltimore, MD.

Nothing was destroyed during the move

This was one of my biggest fears. We had a lot of very nice furniture, new desks and appliances, things like that. The company was on time to have everything get moved into our new home. We were in good hands during the move. They were on top of things from the moment they showed up. There wasn't any hidden fees, or anything of the sort. We were promised a flat rate to help us with the move and they honored that.
